【Haichuan Overseas Engineering】600,000-ton/year sulfuric acid project in Tunisia

On December 26, 2019, the mechanical completion ceremony for the project in Tunisia that has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of sulfuric acid and 400,000 tons of TSP (superphosphate), was held in Medila, Gafsa Province, Tunisia. This project was under the general contracting of Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., which is part of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation. Tunisia is rich in phosphates, and the processing and export of phosphate rocks are important industries there. These two projects undertaken by Donghua Technology are expected to come online in 2020, and they are likely to play an important role in creating local jobs, addressing pollution issues caused by outdated manufacturing methods, and increasing Tunisia’s export earnings.
