The installation of the first two buried bullet tanks for the Saudi AMIRAL project was successfully completed. On September 6, an important milestone was reached in this project: the installation of the first two buried bullet tanks was finished. These core components are precisely placed in their designated positions with millimeter-level ultra-high accuracy, delivering an engineering experience that offers \"ultimate comfort\" to the project. The covered bullet tank farm of the AMIRAL project, the largest of its kind in the Middle East, consists of 27 covered bullet tanks weighing over 950 tons each. Each of these individual devices requires transport and installation as a single unit, posing severe challenges to the precision of the project as well as to the ability to coordinate its various aspects. Faced with numerous challenges such as the difficulty of lifting equipment and high requirements for on-site coordination, the AMIRAL project team took advantage of the unique strengths of the EPC general contractor to optimize the plan from the design stage onward. By improving the material of the tank walls, they were able to reduce the weight of each individual unit, thereby shortening the manufacturing cycle. Following thorough feasibility studies, the team innovatively adopted the SPMT modular vehicle sliding and lifting technique. This approach not only replaced the traditional method of using two machines for lifting, but it also reduced interference from concurrent operations on site, thereby significantly lowering the risks associated with lifting operations. In addition, the procurement team also played a crucial role; they closely tracked and urged the delivery of the equipment, ensuring that it arrived at the site as planned. Finally, the construction team worked closely with the transportation units to optimize key aspects such as transportation support, site cleanup, and lifting scheduling, thereby providing a solid foundation for the smooth arrival of the equipment.
