On October 15, the Jieyang Unicom pipeline project, constructed by the Pipeline Bureau, was officially put into operation. The oil product transportation route of Sinopec Guangdong Petrochemical has been fully operational.
During construction, to cope with extreme weather conditions such as high temperatures, typhoons, and heavy rains, the project team took various measures to ensure the smooth progress of the work. By allocating resources efficiently, tasks were assigned in a manner tailored to the specific needs of each unit. Form specialized teams, refine resource allocation, appropriately divide the work units, and pay close attention to the construction progress at each key stage. Through comparative analysis of progress plans, the weak points in construction resources are identified, and personnel and equipment are reallocated from nearby locations to effectively improve construction efficiency and reduce costs. To ensure welding quality and speed, the project department installed data acquisition systems on each welder to enable monitoring of the entire welding process, thereby ensuring the highest possible quality of welding. During the directional drilling crossing operation, measures such as drainage management, installation of steel sheet piles, and construction of rain shelters were taken to ensure that processes such as non-destructive testing, corrosion protection, and electric spark leak detection could proceed smoothly, thereby completing the crossing task successfully. The Jieyang Unicom pipeline project is a key supporting component of PetroChina’s integrated refining and petrochemical project in Guangdong. It is responsible for transporting the gasoline and diesel produced by this project via pipelines to eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta region, thereby providing an important guarantee for the stable supply of refined oil products in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The commissioning of this project not only contributes to the improvement of the refined oil pipeline transportation network in Guangdong, helping the South China branch of the Pipeline Network Group achieve its strategic goal of establishing an \"X+1+X\" oil and gas market system, but it also promotes resource complementarity between eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta. It provides continuous impetus for addressing the issue of uneven development in eastern Guangdong and for building a modern energy system that is clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient.
