On November 6, with the final nitrogen dehydration tower being properly installed in its designated position, all 7 towers of the single-active-center catalyst unit for the Nantong Blue Sea New Materials pilot plant project, carried out by Jilin Huajian’s Fifth Branch, were successfully installed. This has provided a solid foundation for the steady progress of subsequent construction work on the project. It is reported that a total of 7 towers were lifted this time. The last one, a nitrogen dehydration tower, has a diameter of 1 meter, a height of 6.3 meters, and a weight of 6.5 tons. Not only are there strict requirements regarding the precision of its installation, but the limited space available for lifting operations and the dense arrangement of surrounding steel structures also pose significant challenges to the lifting process. To ensure the safe, precise, and efficient execution of the lifting operations, the project team planned in advance and made meticulous arrangements. Coordination meetings were held to continuously optimize the lifting paths and positioning strategies, and a construction approach involving staged positioning and precise adjustments was adopted to achieve efficient lifting while maintaining safety and control. During the lifting operation, technicians monitor the lifting posture and stress changes throughout the process. The crane operator, relying on his skilled techniques, lifts slowly, rotates steadily, and sets the equipment down precisely, ensuring that it is placed in position in one go. The entire process was safe, controllable, and smoothly coordinated, demonstrating the project team’s strong organizational and coordination skills as well as their excellent construction expertise. All the personnel involved in the project management team of Nantong Blue Sea New Materials Pilot Plant at the Fifth Branch will go all out to advance the subsequent installation work for this project.
