Recently, the structure of the fluoropolymer circulating water station for the Gansu Juhua High-Performance Silicofluorine New Materials Integrated Project, which was constructed through EPC contracting by China Five Rings Engineering Co., Ltd. under China Chemical Engineering, was completed. From the start of construction to the completion of the structure, it took only 105 days for this node, setting a new record for the construction of circular water treatment plants of similar scale. Located in the Chemical Industry Park of the old urban area in Yumen Economic Development Zone, Gansu Province, this project is a key project in Gansu Province and a crucial hub for reshaping the structure of the high-end materials industry chain in the Northwest. The total investment in this project is 41 billion yuan, with construction carried out in three phases. The first phase requires an investment of around 20 billion yuan. Through an integrated layout of upstream and downstream processes, a closed-loop industrial chain covering \"silicon-fluorine-new materials-end applications\" will be established, with the aim of creating a domestically leading and internationally top-tier industrial base that will contribute to the high-quality development of the regional economy as well as the transformation and upgrading of industries. As the general contractor for the project, the company also undertook the EPC work for Bid Sections 6 and 7, which includes the construction of core components such as utility systems and water treatment facilities. The total design capacity of the project’s circulating water station is nearly 80,000 m³/h; of this, the fluoropolymer circulating water station has a capacity of 20,000 m³/h. It is equipped with an open-type mist elimination cooling tower 22 meters high, with a single-story area of 1,600 m². The project commenced construction on July 28; located in a high-altitude area in the northwest, it faced various challenges such as harsh climate conditions, a construction period of just 100 days, a complex structure for the mist removal tower, and the need to use ultra-large and complex formwork systems. The project team formulates precise plans with clear responsibilities assigned to individuals ; Innovatively adopting new construction methods such as buckle support frames to significantly improve construction efficiency ; Thoroughly conduct risk prevention and control for safety, accurately prepare specialized plans, organize expert reviews, and ensure strict implementation. Technical quality management personnel strictly carry out technical briefings, parallel inspections, and on-site supervision; the first-time pass rate for key processes such as steel bar fabrication and installation serta concrete pouring is 100%. Ultimately achieve the goals of zero safety accidents and 100% quality compliance. The successful completion of the fluoropolymer circulating water station has provided a strong boost to the progress of the project. The construction of facilities such as the project’s utility circulating water station, caustic soda circulating water station, fluorochlorine circulating water station, and methyl chloride circulating water station will be completed one after another in the near future.
