Is there such a thing as an intelligent ball for cleaning gas pipelines?
Is this the first time the newly installed pipeline is being cleaned? There is a cleaning ball, as well as a cleaning valve; I’m not sure if it’s called an intelligent ball
It’s definitely a ball; as for whether it’s intelligent or not, that’s unknown. Anyway, our pipes tend to have problems every spring.
Can these balls detect the pipe wall thickness and record video?
You yourself said it’s used for cleaning pipes. Measuring wall thickness seems unlikely, and recording video is even less possible – the footage would be of a rotating image, which is nauseating to watch
The ball does exist, but it’s not possible to record it!
There should be intelligent ones that can collect some information and make guesses.
There are anti-static robots used for pigging natural gas pipelines; PetroChina Pipeline Company has been utilizing them.
