Should a flame arrester be installed at the point where the vent pipe of the natural gas pipeline in the workshop discharges on the roof? Will this affect the proper venting of the pipeline? Are there any regulations stipulating that it must be installed?
Is it for the atmosphere rather than for low-watt emissions? To put it plainly, is allowing emissions into the atmosphere permitted?
A flame arrester is not required at the roof vent; the venting system is equipped with an automatic control valve that triggers ignition automatically when the pressure reaches a certain level, and the control valve closes again when the pressure drops.
Normally, vent pipes should lead to the flare; water seals are installed on all flares. On-site, only emergency venting is required; no flame arrester is needed.
