Since LNG belongs to the category of hydrocarbons with a carbon chain length of one, a collection tank is not necessary. We are currently working on an LPG storage area, and the focus of the discussion is whether a collection tank is needed if the stored material has a carbon chain length of four; if it’s three, then no tank is required. Moreover, if it can be determined which tanks in the storage area hold materials with a carbon chain length of three, that volume can be deducted from the capacity of the collection tank. So, seeing that your LNG project requires the installation of a liquid collection tank, I’m not sure which standard is being followed; I hope you could let us know so that we can also learn from it.
For LNG, a liquid collection tank is required; according to GB 50183, GB/T 20368, and GB 51156, a liquid collection tank must be designed.
