Shansteel’s Phase I, Step 2 facility for converting coke oven gas at a rate of 2×55,000 Nm3/h into LNG comes online / Author/Source: Special Gas Network / Date: 2019-07-23 / Clicks: 13. On July 11, after 24 months of construction work on the civil infrastructure, as well as the completion of mechanical installations, passing of fire safety inspections, and the introduction of coke oven gas, Shansteel’s Rizhao plant’s Phase I, Step 2 project for producing LNG from coke oven gas was successfully brought online. This marks a significant achievement for Tianchen Company, representing a partial success in its implementation of E+PCM management approaches for this project at Shansteel Rizhao. It is reported that the owner of this project is the Coking Department of Rizhao High-Grade Steel Base Project under Shandong Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., while the E+PCM manager is China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. The entire LNG project is constructed in two phases: Phase 1, Step 1, and Phase 1, Step 2. Phase 1, Step 1 was put into operation on July 26, 2018, and was successfully handed over to the owner for operation; it is currently operating well.
