There is considerable uncertainty regarding the choice of compressors for the refrigerant (MRC) in LNG plants; initially, it was decided to use imported centrifuges from abroad (Siemens, Atlas, or Kobe Steel). However, there is some hesitation as to whether to opt for single-axis or multi-axis centrifuges – single-axis centrifuges have lower efficiency, higher energy consumption, and are also more expensive; Multi-axis centrifuges are efficient, have low energy consumption, and are relatively inexpensive; however, they consume more refrigerant. Are there anyone who has used both types of machines? Please share some insights regarding the relative efficiency, energy consumption, and refrigerant leakage between the two

For the centrifuge, it’s mainly a dry gas seal leakage issue; ask them to provide the relevant parameters to take a look

Having used SHENGU’s MRC system, in actual production it seems that the main reason for high refrigerant consumption is unstable operating conditions of the materials; when the flow rate is reduced, there is an excess of refrigerant that must be vented through the flare. A dry gas seal leakage rate of 5 L/MIN is quite low, right?
In simple terms, it’s a matter of one-time investment versus long-term investment; actually, you could consider domestic Kagaku compressors. Not bad either.
Those from abroad are not very reliable; we chose Shaanxi Blower, which has an extremely high thrust temperature. All four units have now been sent back to the factory for modification
