Dear experts, I would like to ask about the main differences between the two standards, GB38810-2020 and GB14976-2012. Thank you
GB/T 38810-2020 adds requirements for low-temperature impact testing.
GB38810-2020 and GB14976-2012 are two standards related to vehicle emissions in China’s standards; the main differences between them are as follows: 1. Range of vehicle types: GB38810-2020 applies to various types of vehicles such as light vehicles, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles, whereas GB14976-2012 applies only to light vehicles and commercial vehicles. 2. Emission limits: GB38810-2020 has updated the emission limits for pollutants. For gasoline-powered vehicles, the new standards set stricter emission limits for carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulates (PM). The emission limits in GB14976-2012 are relatively lenient. 3. Other requirements: GB38810-2020 adds requirements related to hybrid vehicles and pure electric vehicles, including specifications regarding the battery safety, battery capacity, and charging time of electric vehicles. GB14976-2012 does not cover these aspects. Overall, GB38810-2020 updates and improves upon GB14976-2012 in terms of scope of application, emission limits, and other requirements, making it better suited to current environmental protection standards and technological advancements. .
