Recently, the pile foundation construction for Phase 3 of Sinopec’s Tianjin LNG project was completed, and work on the superstructure will now begin, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction activities. It is understood that the third phase of Sinopec’s Tianjin LNG project is located at the northern end of the dike in Donggang Pool, within the Nangang Industrial Zone of the Economic Development Zone. It covers an area of 261,000 square meters, and it is planned to build 5 LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 270,000 cubic meters each, as well as a heat and cold energy exchange station along with various supporting facilities. Upon completion, the project will provide a solid foundation for establishing a new energy system in the Nangang Industrial Zone and achieving the \"dual carbon\" goals. It is stated that, as an important component of LNG storage tanks, the pile foundations bear the vertical loads on the tanks as well as the horizontal loads resulting from sudden events such as earthquakes. The quality of these foundation works is crucial for the safe and smooth progress of the project. To advance the progress of pile foundation projects and ensure their quality, Nangang Industrial Zone adheres to the principle of \"providing thoughtful service along with strict supervision.\" During the inspection and supervision process, it strives to understand the needs of enterprises accurately, improves the level of supervision and service provided, helps enterprises overcome difficulties, and thus promotes the efficient progress of project construction. It is reported that as of now, Phase 3 of Sinopec’s Tianjin LNG project has completed all pile foundation construction ahead of schedule; the overall progress is in line with its overall control plan, and the site is in a stable state that is safe and under control.
