The entire East Main Line of the Shandong pipeline operated by the Natural Gas Division has been completed: Recently, the gas transmission pipeline running from the Longkou LNG receiving station to the Longgang valve room on the Shandong pipeline passed the mechanical completion inspection, marking the completion of the entire East Main Line and ushering in the preparation phase prior to commissioning. The Shandong Pipeline East Mainline natural gas pipeline project is a key initiative for the interconnection of natural gas infrastructure. It also forms an important part of Shandong’s pipeline network system, which consists of six horizontal lines, eight vertical lines, three hubs, and one ring network. Starting from Longkou in Yantai and ending in Tangtou in Linyi, the pipeline passes through 5 prefecture-level cities in Shandong, with a total length of 489 kilometers. Its designed annual gas transmission capacity is 13.9 billion cubic meters. This project is of great significance for further improving Sinopec’s natural gas pipeline network in Shandong and enhancing the ability to interconnect and flexibly allocate local natural gas resources. Since construction began in 2022, the project team of the Natural Gas Branch, in collaboration with the Petroleum Engineering Construction Company and the 10th Construction Company, has innovated engineering construction management models, developed an intelligent comprehensive monitoring platform, and made sustained efforts to implement hierarchical control of safety risks as well as the identification and resolution of potential hazards. For major safety risks associated with contractors, a \"top leader\" responsibility system has been adopted to address difficulties and systemic issues effectively. The project strengthens quality management comprehensively by adopting large-scale fully automatic welding technology, which significantly improves construction efficiency and ensures high construction quality.
