Jerey Oil & Gas Engineering wins bid for Brunei natural gas terminal project. Recent news indicates that Jerey Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jerey Group (referred to as “Jerey Oil & Gas Engineering”), has received a Letter of Award from an internationally renowned oil company for the general contracting of a shore-based natural gas receiving terminal in Brunei (referred to as the “Brunei natural gas terminal project”). The value of this project exceeds 100 million dollars. It is reported that this represents another significant achievement for Jerry Oil & Gas Engineering in the Southeast Asian market, following its win of the Petronas Natural Gas Compression Station project last year. This project underscores Jerry’s technical expertise and project delivery capabilities in the global oil & gas engineering sector, and it will contribute to new momentum in regional energy cooperation. Brunei is known as the \"Oil and Gas Kingdom of the East\" due to its abundant oil and gas resources. Since the discovery of the Seria oil field in 1929, its oil and gas industry has grown rapidly, becoming a pillar of the national economy. In 2024, the value of its oil and gas production accounted for 46.7% of its gross domestic product (GDP). As Asia’s third-largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer, Brunei has long supplied natural gas to the region’s major energy consumers, playing an important role in Asia’s energy security and trade structure. The Brunei natural gas terminal project is a key initiative in the development of Brunei’s energy infrastructure. It encompasses core aspects such as natural gas reception and processing, pipeline transportation, and end-use applications. By ensuring safe and stable delivery of natural gas, it provides reliable operational support for the downstream LNG plants in Brunei.
