Hello everyone XDJM, our company is a copper smelting company, and we encountered such a thing during production. The oxygen concentration of the copper smelting furnace flue gas must be analyzed online to prevent the production of simple sulfur or CO. The instrument has been running stably for more than 3 years. Yesterday, the residual oxygen in the flue gas suddenly turned negative, -1.8% to -5.5%. It is impossible for the oxygen concentration to be negative. However, the instrument is calibrated with standard gas and has no problem. It is also normal when connected to the atmosphere, and the zero point has been calibrated. Here I would like to ask if anyone has encountered this situation, thank you very much! ! !
If you have not encountered this situation, you can ask the instrument manufacturer. It is possible that the probe is faulty and some gases interfere with it.

If you have other accessory probes, try using another one. You should ask your instrument technician if he has experience with this convenience.
There is no new probe, the instrument man has already diagnosed it.
If the probe is indeed normal, there is probably interfering gas. Other methods can be used to verify oxygen.
It is also possible that the inlet pipeline is blocked and negative pressure is drawn to cause this situation. Please check the on-site pipeline.
