In the alkylation process, the content of n-butane in the overhead fraction of the de-n-butane tower does not decrease, resulting in impure n-butane in the tower overhead – this situation has persisted for several days now
This is a problem related to the process operating conditions; it is necessary to optimize the operating conditions of the vapor column. Before optimization, a component analysis of the feed material is carried out, and appropriate adjustments are made based on the analysis results. It’s also a good idea to check again whether there are any issues with the equipment.
High low temperature and low reflux at the top can easily lead to n-butane carrying C5 compounds
The bottom temperature has dropped very low; the initial boiling point of the product has fallen to 30. The temperature in the middle part of the tower cannot be increased, being about ten degrees higher than the top temperature
The pressure at the top of the butane column cannot be increased; there is no pressure, only backpressure due to weather conditions
