Is water analysis in hydrogen peroxide working solutions done using Karl Fischer or chromatography?
When using the Carls method to analyze samples containing hydrogen peroxide, the interference from hydrogen peroxide cannot be ignored. Hydrogen peroxide will oxidize iodides to iodine, causing significant interference with water measurements, and it may even make such measurements impossible. Chromatography may also have certain limitations. Are there any recommended analysis methods in your operating procedures or process guidance documents? If it is only hydrogen peroxide and water, then the determination of water content can be avoided by using other physical properties such as density and refractive index.
