Standard issues for steel-lined plastic storage tanks

The company plans to replace the storage tank used for storing 30% caustic soda. The existing tank was made of carbon steel; after consulting with the manufacturer, they recommended a tank with a plastic lining, where the lining is made of linear low-density polyethylene and has a thickness of 16 mm. However, according to the national standard HG/T 4112-2009 on technical requirements for tanks and containers with plastic linings, the maximum allowable thickness for PE linings is 8 mm. From an economic perspective, this means that the cost of the lining doubles. Upon communicating with the manufacturer, it was stated that there are only the company’s own standards, with no industry or **standards available. I would like to know whether linear low-density polyethylene is suitable for HG/T 4112-2009; if not, are there any other standards that can be used?
