The platinum and palladium concentrates produced by our company contain 3%–5% gold, 0.8%–1.5% silver, 8%–10% platinum, 47%–51% palladium, as well as 2%–5% iron. Dear colleagues, what methods are available to accurately determine the exact content of each element? These values are approximate figures determined using ICP; the exact values have not yet been determined. Thank you all

The fire assay method is generally used for analysis (atomic absorption is employed for platinum and palladium later on); for such samples, iron is not important, and atomic absorption method or data from ICP can also be used. However, the palladium content in this sample is quite high; P
I have also done fire assay, but when gold and platinum are mixed together, and silver and palladium are mixed together, it’s not possible to determine their amounts using weight analysis. The values obtained through ICP testing differ significantly from those analyzed by the Beijing Institute of Mining and Technology; our results were on the high side.
Look for a book online titled \"Modern Analysis of Precious Metals\", edited by Mr. Dong Shouan – it is highly valuable as a reference. The book covers traditional precious metal analysis methods such as fire assay and lead button method, as well as modern elemental analysis techniques that are commonly used today.
