Centrifugal type: The gas flows roughly radially within the compressor. 2. Axial flow type: The gas flows roughly axially within the compressor. 3. Axial-flow centrifugal combined type: Sometimes, a centrifugal compressor is used in the high-pressure section of an axial-flow compressor. Classified by exhaust pressure: 1. Ventilators: PD < 0.0142 MPa gauge pressure; 2. Blowers: 0.0142 MPa < PD < 0.245 MPa gauge pressure; 3. Compressors: PD > 0.245 MPa gauge pressure. Classified by configuration: 1. Horizontal configuration: The unit’s casing is divided horizontally – MCL; 2. Vertical configuration (cylindrical): The unit’s casing is divided vertically – BCL
