Project advantages? The advantages of the Hengyi Brunei PMB integrated refining and chemical project are as follows: ? 1) Low transportation costs. One-third of the crude oil is supplied locally in Brunei, transported via direct pipelines, resulting in lower logistics costs for the crude oil ； Moreover, the oil products are sold in nearby Southeast Asian markets, resulting in a short sales radius. ? 2) Cost advantages: for example, the company owns its own power plants, resulting in electricity costs that are only 1/4 of those in the domestic market; other energy and material costs also present significant advantages. ? 3) Tax incentive advantages. The Hengyi Brunei PMB project is exempt from taxes for an extended period of time; there are no taxes such as value-added tax or income tax, offering a significant advantage over the roughly 40% tax burden in China. ? 4) Flexible process. Adopting an integrated refining model of \"less oil, more aromatics,\" it makes full use of the advantages of using oil where appropriate, aromatics where suitable, and olefins where necessary; its 1.5 million-ton PX production facility is the largest in the world ； Moreover, utilities are all reserved to leave ample room for future development. ? 5) Operational advantages. Compared to domestic private refineries, the company conducts independent procurement of crude oil, whereas domestic refineries rely mainly on imports ； Meanwhile, the oil products from the Brunei project are sold in the local market, whereas domestic private refineries rely mainly on exports for their oil products. 6) Upon completion, the Brunei project is expected to become a model of the most competitive integrated refining and petrochemical complex in the world. ? Project Progress ? Brunei has entered the phase of installing critical equipment ； Ground clearing and foundation compaction have been completed, and the underground works are finished ； Construction of the main docks has been completed, and the construction of the power plant and steam plant is in its final stages.
