In propane dehydrogenation to propylene (PDH) plants, more than 30 such plants in China use UOP’s C3 Oliflex process. For the product gas obtained after propane dehydrogenation, in addition to separating unreacted propane and the by-produced hydrogen, it is also necessary to purify it by removing impurities such as water and sulfur before it can be fed into the propylene polymerization unit. Currently, UOP’s adsorbents P310 and P311 are used for impurity removal and purification. What are the functions of these two adsorbents respectively? What’s the difference between the two? Are there any usage instructions or something for these two product grades?
The drying reaction product of p-310 is mainly water removal, while that of p-311 is mainly sulfur removal and the adsorption of hydrogen sulfide; one is placed in the upper part and the other in the lower part, and the sizes of the two agents are different.
What are the characteristics of the loading capacity for P-310 and P-311?

UOP’s molecular sieve adsorbents P310 and P311 are used for adsorbing water for dehydration, and for adsorbing sulfur to achieve purification. :)
