Deep lamination process or etherification + lamination process
There are types for refining and chemical applications; those designed for refining are easier to modify, and processes such as blending or alkylation can basically be used to convert them into MTBE. Chemical-type MTBE is generally used to retain useful components in the raw materials, such as n-butylene; modification methods like copolymerization are not suitable for this type of process. Although **no ban on the use of MTBE has been issued yet, there is a timeline for gradually reducing its proportion in gasoline. This poses a challenge for chemical-based MTBE production facilities, but solutions always exist; every technological advancement emerges under such conditions.
