The 3rd China Petrochemical Innovation Forum and Excellence in Operations Summit 2021, sponsored by the Shanghai Petroleum Society and the China Chemical Engineering Education Association, will be held grandly in Shanghai from April 6 to 9. “Since the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China’s petrochemical industry has made significant progress: the industry has developed steadily, technological innovation has continued, industrial consolidation has accelerated, and the importance of green and safe practices has become increasingly recognized. Entering 2020, the global COVID-19 pandemic, economic slowdown, declining demand, and trade tensions among other uncertainties posed severe challenges to the petrochemical industry. With the approaching 14th Five-Year Plan period, how will China’s petrochemical industry develop under the new conditions in the post-pandemic era? How we can better leverage technological innovation as a driving force to accelerate the optimization of industrial structures, reduce costs and increase efficiency, and achieve excellent operations is an issue of common concern within the industry. This event will invite over 200 senior representatives from leading companies in the petrochemical industry at home and abroad, industrial parks, policy makers, research institutions, engineering firms, universities, and service companies to participate. Together, we explore the development trends in China’s petrochemical industry, and share new technologies, experiences, and best practices in petrochemical production.
