With our country’s solemn commitment to achieving \"carbon neutrality\" and \"carbon peak\" goals, Lanzhou Petrochemical Company has truly turned the Changqing ethane-to-ethylene project into an environment-friendly enterprise that emphasizes sustainability and low carbon emissions. The pyrolysis furnace system utilizes a new flue gas denitration technology, which reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by 70% compared to conventional pyrolysis furnace systems, thereby achieving ultra-low levels of waste gas emissions ; By employing catalytic oxidation for the treatment of waste alkali, as well as new technologies such as ultrafiltration + reverse osmosis and evaporation crystallization, deep reuse of wastewater is achieved, with a reuse rate of over 95%; this makes it the first refining project in China National Petroleum Corporation to achieve nearly zero wastewater discharge. After the project is put into operation, the annual carbon dioxide emissions will be approximately 342,400 tons, while the annual total energy consumption will amount to 755,200 tons of standard coal, reaching world-class levels. The Changqing ethane-to-ethylene project of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company aims to reach international advanced levels, adhering to the high standards of world-class enterprises. The yield of ethylene can be increased from around 30% in the case of cracked naphtha to 80%, serving as a model that helps China’s ethylene industry transition from a role of catching up to one of leading the world. At present, the Changqing Ethane to Ethylene project of Lanzhou Petrochemical is in the final stage of preparation for operation, with all tasks being carried out in an orderly and intense manner. This project is the first of its kind in China to utilize the ethane cracking technology developed independently by CNPC for the production of ethylene! With the large-scale ethylene production facilities that have been built, PetroChina takes advantage of its integrated upstream and downstream operations by separating ethane from natural gas at the upstream stage to use it as raw material for ethylene production facilities, thereby promoting high-quality development through new development concepts!
