Rongsheng Petrochemical’s 600,000-ton facility comes online

Rongsheng Petrochemical recently announced that the 600,000 tons per year styrene production facility built by its holding subsidiary, Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., in the Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base has successfully begun producing qualified products. It is reported that Rongsheng Petrochemical’s 600,000 tons per year styrene plant utilizes the well-established ethylbenzene dehydrogenation process. With the commissioning of this facility, Rongsheng Petrochemical’s total styrene production capacity has reached 2.5 million tons per year, making it the highest among all plants of its kind in the country; its share of China’s total styrene production capacity exceeds 10%.
