On December 4, 2022, the civil engineering work for the 600,000 tons per year styrene production project of Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., which was constructed by the Second Engineering Company, was successfully completed and handed over On December 29, 2022, the 600,000 tons per year styrene production unit of Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. completed the entire process for the ethylbenzene production line, resulting in the generation of qualified intermediate product ethylbenzene ； On January 2, 2023, the entire process for producing styrene was operationalized, and qualified styrene product was manufactured; the plant started up successfully with its first batch of feed! The construction site for the 600,000 tons per year styrene production project of Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is located within the industrial park in Xuwei New Area, Lianyungang City. The project includes production or auxiliary facilities such as a styrene production unit, a raw styrene storage area, an intermediate product storage area, a styrene storage area, a loading/unloading area (renovated and expanded), a waste liquid incinerator area, and a low-pressure flare system. The styrene production plant utilizes the process technology from the foreign company Badger, with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of styrene.
