The pumps in the plant area are mostly manufactured by domestic manufacturers, and many of the oil cups have leakage problems; inspections reveal that the hygiene conditions are not up to standard. Eliminating these oil cups and using plugs to seal them would be a good way to reduce leakage by decreasing the number of static sealing points. Regular inspections using sight glasses to check the oil level is also a method for ensuring safe operation. Many pump manufacturers abroad have eliminated the use of oil cups; instead, they purchase oil sight glasses with larger diameters during manufacturing to facilitate observation.
