On April 29, 2025, the ECI Group announced that it had signed a contract with Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company to build a plant with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA)/low-density polyethylene (LDPE), using the ECI Group’s proprietary mixed reactor technology. ECI Group stated that the EVA/LDPE plant with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons, which is being planned and constructed this time, is a key component of the large-scale ethylene and downstream industry cluster that Zhenhai Refining & Chemical has developed in Zhenhai District, Ningbo. Thanks to the advanced technologies of the ECI Group, this facility is not only capable of achieving stable annual production of 200,000 tons of LDPE, EVA, and other high-value-added copolymers, but it also has the potential for future product upgrades and capacity expansion. In this collaboration, ECI Group’s services include technology licensing, process design packages, extended process design packages, detailed design of high-pressure systems, project-related technical procurement services, as well as on-site technical support during equipment installation, plant commissioning, and performance evaluation. ECI Group stated that the contract with Zhenhai Refining & Chemical is not only a strong endorsement of ECI’s technical capabilities but also further solidifies ECI Group’s position as the preferred partner in the field of high-performance polyethylene production technologies.
