According to the latest data, the 700,000 tons per year ethylene plant at Jilin Petrochemical has made comprehensive efforts in various aspects such as raw materials, processes, and management to fully exploit the plant’s potential and improve its operational efficiency. As a result, the yield of the three types of olefins in the first half of the year increased by 1.23 percentage points compared to the same period last year, reaching the highest level on record for that period. Precise adjustment of raw materials boosts efficiency. The technical team precisely adjusted the raw material ratios, significantly reducing the BMCI value of the hydrogenation tail oil to below 5. This measure increases the content of alkanes in the feedstock that are conducive to cracking, while reducing the content of olefins and cycloalkanes that can trigger side reactions, thereby laying the foundation for high yields. Process optimization to reduce losses. The factory maintains the suction pressure at the first stage of the pyrolysis gas compressor below 45 kPa, effectively reducing system pressure and energy consumption. Simultaneously reducing the residence time in the pyrolyzer significantly suppressed the secondary reactions of olefins, further improving the yield of the target product. Manage upgrades to ensure stability. The factory implements \"three precisions\" management to establish a rigorous control system. Technicians strengthen operation verification and parameter monitoring to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the equipment. At the same time, efforts are made to strengthen the control of flares; leaks in materials are checked on a weekly basis, and key areas such as the sealing points in the plant area and valve gaskets are thoroughly inspected. Any leaks that are detected are repaired promptly to minimize material losses, thereby laying the foundation for further improvements in operational efficiency.
