According to China Datang Group Co., Ltd., on October 15, with the successful completion of the final lifting operation for the large-scale equipment, the main facilities of Phase 1 of the China Datang Fuxin coal-to-natural gas project were fully connected, marking the entry of the project into a phase of full-scale resumption of construction. China Datang Fuxin Coal-to-Natural Gas Project is the third large-scale coal-to-natural gas demonstration project approved by the **National Development and Reform Commission, and it is also the only coal-to-natural gas project in the Northeast region. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026; it will be able to process 7.5 million tons of low-grade coal per year, generating 1.33 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The natural gas produced by this project will be supplied to the five cities of Shenyang, Fuxin, Tieling, Fushun, and Benxi through its own long-distance pipelines, providing a stable and reliable source of clean energy for a population of 15.96 million people. Once connected to the national gas network, it will further help ensure a steady supply of natural gas to key regions such as North China. Once the entire first-phase project is put into operation, the annual output value is expected to exceed 4 billion yuan. By upgrading and demonstrating the new model of integrated development of \"coal chemical industry + new energy,\" the annual output value of this project is expected to exceed 6 billion yuan. Records show that the project was approved by the **Development and Reform Commission in March 2010, and construction began in July 2011. Thereafter, construction was halted or delayed on multiple occasions due to various factors such as coal supply, market conditions, and technology.
