On December 12, the Jinfeng Xingan League Green Hydrogen to Green Methanol (Phase II) project was approved for implementation. The project owner is Jinfeng Green Energy Chemicals (Xingan League) Co., Ltd. The construction site is located in Xingan League – Ulanhot City – Xingan League Economic and Technological Development Zone. The total investment amount is 1,200 million yuan, of which 240 million yuan comes from own funds, 960 million yuan will be borrowed from banks, and 0 million yuan from other sources. The planned construction period is from December 2025 to December 2027. The scale and scope of the project include the construction of key production facilities such as biomass gasification and methanol synthesis and distillation units, along with related auxiliary infrastructure, with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of green methanol. On November 10, the wind-powered hydrogen production (Phase II) project of Jinfeng Technology in Xingan League was approved for implementation; the hydrogen production capacity is 32,000 Nm³/h. On October 8, the Xingan League Administrative Office and Goldwind Green Energy Chemical Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. signed investment agreements for Phase II and Phase III projects, building on the successful process validation of the first-phase gasifier. The subsequent project will be constructed in two phases, with an expected total production capacity of 1.45 million tons of green methanol by the end of 2027. On October 5, the gasifier in the first phase of the world’s largest green methanol project – the Jinfeng Green Energy Chemical Xing’an League project for producing 500,000 tons of green methanol from green hydrogen – was successfully fed with material for the first time. The 250,000 tons of material fed this time were processed using the fluidized bed gasification technology provided by Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd.; the 200,000 tons to be processed using the fixed bed pressurized gasification technology from Shanghai Zemake Technology Group Co., Ltd. are still under construction. On September 10, the board of directors of Goldwind Science & Technology approved the resolution regarding the signing of an investment agreement for Goldwind’s 3GW wind-hydrogen-ammonia-alcohol integrated project in Ulaat Middle Banner, as well as the initiation of the procedures for applying for funding for this project. The overall project plan calls for the construction of 3GW of wind power capacity; over 80% of the electricity generated will be used for water electrolysis to produce green hydrogen. Through biomass gasification combined with green hydrogen, 600,000 tons of green methanol and 400,000 tons of green ammonia will be produced annually.
