On January 7, the first batch of 90 tons of the new generation of environmentally friendly vulcanizing agents produced by Zhenhai Refining & Chemical was successfully put into use, marking a significant breakthrough in the industrial application of this product and providing support for the green and safe operation of hydrogenation units. This product is the outcome of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s key environmental protection projects for 2025; it is manufactured by the environmentally friendly coking-inhibiting sulfurizing agent unit in the Second Refining Department, utilizing the core patent technology of Dalian Research Institute. The new generation of products features key innovations in synthetic materials and catalytic systems; their production process adheres strictly to green environmental standards. They possess safety advantages such as a high flash point, non-hazardous status, and low odor, making them an excellent auxiliary material for the pre-sulfurization of catalysts in hydrogenation units. On that day, the product was successfully applied to Unit 6 of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s hydrogenation plant, effectively mitigating the concentrated heat release during the catalyst presulfidization process and laying a solid technical foundation for the safe and stable operation of the plant.
