Jihua’s annual production of styrene-butadiene rubber increased by 67%

　　According to Sinochem New Network, in 2025, Jilin Petrochemical’s cumulative production of styrene-butadiene rubber reached 126,000 tons, a 67% increase compared to the previous year, marking a new high in recent years. 　　To maintain stable and high production levels for the facility that has been in operation for over 40 years, Jilin Petrochemical has carried out upgrades and renovations to its key equipment. To further improve the dehydration capacity of the core equipment, technicians took measures such as increasing the reflux area of the dehydrator and optimizing the speed of the reducer, which resulted in a 8% reduction in the water content of the rubber particles and a 5% reduction in steam consumption, thus achieving the goals of increased production, improved quality, and reduced costs. In addition, the technicians optimized the bearing housings of the wet grinding equipment to a split-type design, reducing the time required for maintenance by over 60% and thereby extending the effective operating time of the equipment. New liquid ring vacuum pumps were used in place of the old reciprocating vacuum pumps, eliminating potential risks and ensuring the stable operation of the single-unit recovery system.
