According to data from the Tianyancha app, China Petroleum (601857) has obtained a new invention patent grant. The title of the patent is “Catalyst for the selective hydrogenation of acetylene and its preparation method and application”; the patent application number is CN202210648052.4, and the grant date is January 27, 2026. Patent abstract: The present invention relates to a catalyst for the selective hydrogenation of acetylene, whose main active component is palladium, with a phosphorus-doped carbon material serving as the carrier; the palladium is dispersed on the carrier at the atomic level ； The palladium content is 0.005–0.5 wt% of the total mass of the catalyst. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing a catalyst for the selective hydrogenation of acetylene, as well as a method for producing ethylene via the selective hydrogenation of acetylene. In the catalyst provided by the present invention, palladium is dispersed on the carrier at the atomic level, and this catalyst exhibits high activity, selectivity, and stability in the selective hydrogenation of acetylene ； The preparation method provided by the present invention is environmentally friendly and easy to operate. Since the beginning of this year, China National Petroleum Corporation has obtained 201 new patent approvals, a 67.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Based on the company’s financial figures for the first half of 2025, the company invested 9.899 billion yuan in research and development during that period, representing a 2.51% increase compared to the previous year. According to big data analysis by Tianyancha, China National Petroleum Corporation has invested in 1,297 enterprises in total and participated in 443 bidding projects ； Regarding property clues, there are 105 trademark records and 48,144 patent records ； In addition, the company holds 168 administrative licenses.
