India exports fuel to the EU for the first time since the EU ban

　　According to Sinochem New Network, recently, Xincheng Industry announced the completion of the unloading of a shipment of aviation fuel in Italy. This marks the first time that India has exported fuel to this region since the EU banned the import of products derived from Russian crude oil on January 21. Data shows that the tankers leased by the company unloaded approximately 390,000 barrels of aviation fuel at a port near Rome. 　　As one of the main buyers of Russian crude oil, India’s export trends of refined products to Europe are closely watched by the market. To comply with relevant EU regulations, Xincheng Industrial has previously stated that its oil refining equipment intended for export has stopped processing Russian crude oil since November 20 of last year. A company spokesperson said that the delivery was delayed due to weather conditions, and emphasized that the company is capable of producing fuels from different sources separately in order to supply the European market with fuel that meets the required standards. 　　Data shows that last year India’s exports of aviation fuel to Europe reached 4.1 million tons, nearly tripling compared to 2021. From 2022 to 2025, India supplied nearly 15% of Europe’s imports of aviation fuel. Since the ban took effect, Europe has not imported any diesel products from India.
