Sinochem News on May 8,* * National Development and Reform Commission, * * The Energy Bureau and other four departments jointly issued the "Action Plan on Promoting the Bidirectional Empowerment of Artificial Intelligence and Energy" (referred to as the "Plan") to strengthen the basic supporting role of energy in the development of artificial intelligence, give full play to the superimposed multiplier effect of artificial intelligence on energy transformation, promote the two-way empowerment of artificial intelligence and energy development, and accelerate the construction of a new "artificial intelligence +" energy development pattern that is collaborative, efficient, safe, reliable, green and low-carbon, open and integrated. The "Plan" proposes that nuclear power, hydrogen energy and other energy sources will be explored to directly connect computing power facilities to ensure the safe and stable operation of computing power facilities. At the same time, we will solidly promote the statistics of the proportion of green electricity consumption in computing facilities and the accounting of carbon emissions, and build a full-chain green and low-carbon development system with green electricity supply, efficient energy use, and coordinated carbon emission control. The "Plan" proposes to open up high-value application scenarios of artificial intelligence in the energy field and set up a special column for high-value scenarios in the energy field. Focusing on the fields of efficient oil and gas exploration and development and smart pipeline networks, the "Plan" proposes tasks such as intelligent exploration and modeling decision-making for oil and gas geology, optimization of drilling design and intelligent steering drilling systems, intelligent decision-making for reservoir stimulation and unconventional oil and gas development, construction of oil and gas data asset libraries and digital twin basin models, intelligent perception of oil and gas production data, and intelligent control and optimization of long-distance pipeline and pipeline network operations. In addition, in terms of diversified integration and innovation of new energy business formats, tasks such as intelligent optimization of green hydrogen production processes and energy efficiency optimization control, and integrated intelligent decision-making for carbon dioxide storage are proposed. In terms of strengthening artificial intelligence model innovation in the energy field, the "Plan" proposes to focus on power grids, oil and gas, integrated energy and other fields to improve basic capabilities such as generalization and migration of large energy models, multi-agent frameworks, large and small model collaboration, multi-modal understanding generation, and long-sequence reasoning. It will promote the in-depth application of these five professional large models in oil and gas and other industries, and promote the aggregation and integration of industry data into professional large models.
