Guangdong's first carbon fiber production line Donghua Energy Carbon Fiber Project successfully commissioned

On June 6, the Donghua Energy Carbon Fiber Project located in the Green Chemical and Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park in Binhai New Area, Maoming, successfully completed a carbonization production line with a length of more than 500 meters, and successfully completed the belt-material linkage test run, and achieved continuous standard loading and winding of 5,000 meters. The performance of the trial-produced carbon filament exceeds T700 and is close to T800 level. This is the first large-scale high-performance carbon fiber production line in Guangdong Province. The technology for this project comes from the Carbon Fiber Engineering Technology Research Center of Shandong University. Since its establishment in 1992, the Carbon Fiber Engineering Technology Research Center of Shandong University has long been committed to the research, development and application promotion of high-performance carbon fiber precursor precursors, carbon fiber preparation, and carbon fiber composite products. After 18 years of research, this project has broken through the key technologies of T1000-level high-performance carbon fiber and has independent intellectual property rights for all process processes. The project adopts the "aqueous precipitation polymerization dry-jet wet spinning two-step method" process, which not only can stably produce high-strength products, but also has fast spinning speed and significant scale effect, achieving a balance between high performance and low cost. According to the plan, the project will complete the entire process from polymerization, spinning to carbonization in September. Product indicators are expected to reach the T800 level in the short term. It will have T1000 production capacity by the end of the year. The full-load carbon fiber output for the year is expected to reach 2,500 tons. This project is the result of in-depth industry-university-research cooperation between Shandong University and Donghua Energy Co., Ltd. It is also a typical case of the industrial transformation of innovative achievements of the Carbon Fiber Engineering Technology Research Center of Shandong University.
