I’ve been thinking about learning more about dynamic balancing recently. Could you tell me which types of chemical processing equipment require dynamic balancing? Is it necessary to have a report on the dynamic balance test provided by the manufacturer when making purchases?
Rotating machinery such as centrifugal compressors, fan rotors, and centrifugal pump rotors all require dynamic balancing. Generally, complete sets of equipment are not supplied with a dynamic balancing report upon leaving the factory, but such a report is necessary for the maintenance of the equipment.
Thank you. Is it necessary to conduct a dynamic balance test again after repairing a pump or centrifugal compressor? How much does it cost to do it once?
