The compressor I have is of the piston type, and it is equipped with an interlock device for lubricant pressure monitoring. The interlock activates when the lubricant pressure is below 0.15 MPA, and at pressures above 0.4 MPA. Is it necessary to set up an additional high-pressure alarm for the lubricant? Since the compressor oil pressure protection has a specific pressure range – 0.15 at low pressure and 0.4 at high pressure – it’s okay if the pressure is a bit high, but it must not be low.
