Inside the components that our company disassembles, there is a metal piece; it seems to be called a buffer piece. What is the function of this piece inside?
If you look closely, that piece of metal isn’t flat at all :D
The valve disc is used for sealing and can be opened and closed, while the buffer piece provides cushioning for the opening and closing of the valve disc.
Do all air valves have cushioning pads?
Our air valves are all equipped with buffer plates; a set includes the valve itself, the valve plate, the buffer plate, and the gasket

They are all called buffer plates, and their function is obviously to provide cushioning. Metal valve plates are equipped with one or two buffer plates, while PEEK valve plates do not require them. The buffer plates are flat, with dimensions identical to those of the valve plate; the non-flat version has a much smaller outer diameter. Its proper name is lift limiter, and it serves to restrict the lift of the valve plate
