Air compressor loading and unloading issues

As the title suggests, I currently have a Spanish air compressor whose airflow is regulated by opening and closing the suction valve. When the compressor is not under load, there is a certain pressure drop shown on the exhaust pressure gauges at each stage. What causes this? Moreover, with two identical air compressors, why does one of them stabilize at 0.2 MPa while the other stabilizes at 0.3 MPa? Seek help from experts! :)
Is it unloaded to 0? If not, there’s pressure. There’s also the issue of the outlet check valve not being tight enough
In a machine with four stages of compression, pressure drop occurs in each stage. What could be the cause of this? Are there any other possibilities besides air leakage from the exhaust valves?
