Who can provide information on the tools needed to make PTFE gaskets? I’m planning to buy some tools for making gaskets
A pair of scissors (aerospace scissors) will do the trick; for the inner and outer diameters, use metal bushings or make marks for guidance. If punching is also needed, a belt punch will suffice. With these tools, various inner and outer diameters can be handled. How many different types of tooling do you need to purchase? 50, 80, 100, 150, 200?
I’m really not sure about this. I’ve seen how asbestos pads are made, but I’ve never seen any synthetic materials used for that purpose; we don’t produce such things ourselves either
