What is the difference between a non-powered roller conveyor and a powered roller conveyor? A non-powered roller conveyor is one in which the items are pushed by hand or transported by gravity; the conveying distance on such conveyors is usually short, and they are suitable for transporting items with a flat bottom. For bulk materials, small items, or those with irregular shapes, it is necessary to place them on pallets or containers for transportation. The structure of a non-powered roller conveyor consists mainly of non-powered rollers, a frame, and shaft-type supports. The properties of the items affect the stability of transportation, and generally at least three rollers need to be in contact with the items simultaneously. The frame can be made from aluminum profiles, carbon steel with powder coating, stainless steel, etc. The rollers can be made of metal (carbon steel and stainless steel), plastic, or covered with a protective coating. A powered roller conveyor is an important component in conveying equipment; it involves cylindrical elements that drive the conveyor belt or change its direction using mechanical power. Drum materials: galvanized, aluminum-coated, stainless steel, PVC, etc. Transport speed: usually 10~30 M/min ; Variable frequency speed control can be selected for continuous operation according to the user’s needs. Power roller conveyors are widely used in various industries for cost-effective packaging and transportation, as well as for material handling. The most suitable option is determined based on the raw materials, drum diameter, and the way they are arranged (that is, how many are installed per meter), as well as any other requirements from the customer. Currently, roller conveyors are primarily classified into stackable roller conveyors, telescopic conveyors, belt-driven roller conveyors, curved-conveyor systems, and circular-belt roller conveyors.
