The air cooling unit for the styrene dehydrogenation process has a gable-shaped structure, with fans that start operating symmetrically. The temperature on the south side is higher than that on the north side; I installed three fans on the south side and one fan on the north side, and the results were much better. However, the process engineer said that asymmetric operation can cause the material to drift, resulting in less cooling capacity on the north side and an increased tendency for polymerization
Hello, I have worked as an operator in a styrene plant for ten years. Personal advice: It must be stacked to be opened! Prevent polymers from clogging the heat exchange tubes!
