Newly assembled mechanical seal, double-seal type, with an air pocket; the seal fluid pressure is 32 kilograms. It has not been running for long, and there is leakage (external leakage) during operation. This is what it looks like after being taken apart. I would like to ask the experts here what causes this.
It’s possible that the fit between the moving and stationary seals is either too loose or too tight, the packing is uneven, and there has been no grinding treatment between the moving and stationary seals
Is it related to the material of the moving ring and the compression ratio?
It is recommended that the technical requirements for using large seals be followed by installing and using them in accordance with the instructions; in cases where no instructions are available, it is necessary to consult the manufacturer for assistance. The communication channels involve the user unit contacting the purchasing unit, which then contacts the supplier. Regarding technical aspects, cleanliness during installation, as well as the smoothness of the surfaces of the shafts and seals, are very important; an absolute seal is required. Is this a mechanical seal for kettles? The installation requirements are quite good.
What material was used for the original sealing? Has the sealing structure been changed? How effective was the old seal?
