Piston compressor exhaust port

The last edit to this post was made by yxy790740 on 2018-6-20 at 20:34. There is an exhaust hole in the cylinder part of the piston-type natural gas compressor; what kind of gas is exhausted through this hole? Do all piston compressors have them?
Is there a picture? At the large end bearing area of the connecting rod or at the small end bearing area?
If there is one, it is for venting oil vapor, following the same principle as the vent hole in the pump bearing chamber.
That’s not scientific – there’s a bucket in between... Don’t you have any system for capturing leaked air on that bucket? If there is really natural gas, it must be that the stuffing box is leaking, the gas recovery system is blocked, and the sealing ring connecting to the tank is also leaking. Let’s use the previous diagram or drawing instead.
