The wheel pressure of the cracking cycle hydrogen compressor in our unit is high (reaching up to 2.3 Mpa). After replacing the rotor, the pressure remains high; all other aspects of the compressor are normal. The drive steam for the compressor is designed for 4.0 Mpa, while the normal value is 3.6 Mpa. Please help analyze this issue.

Chamber pressure, right? The wheel chamber pressure generally refers to the pressure after primary regulation (at the regulating stage impeller); a high value indicates a possible buildup of scale on the turbine impeller
The pressure in the wheel chamber increases, which indicates a decrease in the effective enthalpy drop of the turbine. This could be caused by blockages in the flow passages or by air leakage between stages; this phenomenon is not accompanied by changes in vibration displacement, as well as no changes in exhaust temperature and pressure. For example, a comparison of your steam consumption with that under the same load when things were normal in the past.
The statement is unclear; compressors do not have a parameter related to wheel chamber pressure – only steam turbines have such a parameter. If faulty readings are ruled out, then high wheel chamber pressure must be caused by scaling resulting from poor quality of the steam~~~
It’s probably the pressure in the turbine housing. This situation occurs rarely; check to see if there are any issues with the measuring instruments.
