A dry gas seal is also a type of mechanical seal, right? The sealing principle of dry gas seals – is there an animated display showing what happens at the sealing surface? Since it is the compressive force generated by the threads during rotation that provides sealing, why is there still a requirement for pressure on the sealing gas?
Dry gas for the unit or the pump? There are two types of pumps with different structures. One type uses a series arrangement of dry gas seals, while the other uses double-end face seals. In the series configuration, a mechanical seal and a dry gas seal are used in sequence, with the mechanical seal playing the primary role and the dry gas seal serving as a supplementary element; pressure is applied to the primary seal to increase the width of its liquid film, thereby extending its lifespan. Double-end face dry gas seals consist of two levels of such seals, and the pressure here is higher than that in the pump chamber, which prevents leakage of the medium
