Experts, I recently replaced the electronic drain valve on the refrigerated dryer located behind the air compressor in my company. After turning the machine on, the electronic drain valve only expels air rather than water. When water was detected in the buffer tank behind the dryer from time to time, is it possible that the electronic drain valve isn’t working properly? What’s the problem, and how to deal with it? Contact the manufacturer and say that the filter of the electronic drain valve is clogged; if it’s blocked, how can fluid flow? Can air still be discharged? (My personal opinion; I’m not sure if it’s correct.) We just replaced the valve. Later, they said it’s normal to bring water during this season. . . . . An electronic drain is essentially a timer valve. Set a time for it to turn on automatically at regular intervals. If the interval is too short, what comes out is obviously air; it has nothing to do with the filter. It is normal for water to accumulate in the rear air storage tank; generally, the dew point of freeze-dryers is not too low, so water will definitely accumulate in the rear tank over time. An automatic drain or air drain valve can be installed in the buffer tank. If it is necessary to ensure that there is no water in the subsequent storage tanks, adsorption drying is the only option.
